Congress has reached an agreement on an economic stimulus package. If the measure is approved by the Senate the tax rebate checks could go out as early as June 2008. People who pay income taxes will get up to $600; couples can receive up to $1,200; people with children will get an additional $300 per child; workers who make at least $3,000, but don’t pay taxes will each receive $300 rebates.

The measure was approved in the House of Representatives Thursday, January 24.
